If You Can Log In to Your Account

Via the Mobile App

  1. Open the OKX App and navigate to the User Center.
  2. Select Profile & Settings, then go to Security. Under Verification Methods, choose Phone Number.
  3. Click Change Phone Number and enter your new number in the New Phone Number field.
  4. Select Send Code for both SMS Code from New Phone Number and SMS Code from Current Phone Number. A 6-digit verification code will be sent to both numbers. Enter the codes when received.
  5. Provide your two-factor authentication (2FA) code to proceed.

Note: If verification isn't possible, select Unable to Verify at the bottom of the page.

  1. You’ll receive email/SMS confirmation once the phone number update is successful.

Via the Website

  1. Go to your Profile and select Security Settings.
  2. Locate Phone Number Verification and click Change.
  3. Choose your country code and enter the new number in the New Phone Number field.
  4. Click Send Code for both SMS Verification for New Number and SMS Verification for Current Number. Enter the 6-digit codes sent to both numbers.
  5. Submit your 2FA code to proceed.

Note: Select Unable to Verify if you encounter verification issues.

  1. Confirmation will be sent via email/SMS upon completion.

If You Can’t Log In to Your Account

Unlink your phone number via the two-factor authentication page or contact customer support to reset it. Learn more about the process 👉 here.

Important: Crypto withdrawals and P2P trading will be restricted for 24 hours after changing your phone number.
