If You Can Log In to Your Account
Via the Mobile App
- Open the OKX App and navigate to the User Center.
- Select Profile & Settings, then go to Security. Under Verification Methods, choose Phone Number.
- Click Change Phone Number and enter your new number in the New Phone Number field.
- Select Send Code for both SMS Code from New Phone Number and SMS Code from Current Phone Number. A 6-digit verification code will be sent to both numbers. Enter the codes when received.
- Provide your two-factor authentication (2FA) code to proceed.
Note: If verification isn't possible, select Unable to Verify at the bottom of the page.
- You’ll receive email/SMS confirmation once the phone number update is successful.
Via the Website
- Go to your Profile and select Security Settings.
- Locate Phone Number Verification and click Change.
- Choose your country code and enter the new number in the New Phone Number field.
- Click Send Code for both SMS Verification for New Number and SMS Verification for Current Number. Enter the 6-digit codes sent to both numbers.
- Submit your 2FA code to proceed.
Note: Select Unable to Verify if you encounter verification issues.
- Confirmation will be sent via email/SMS upon completion.
If You Can’t Log In to Your Account
Unlink your phone number via the two-factor authentication page or contact customer support to reset it. Learn more about the process 👉 here.
Important: Crypto withdrawals and P2P trading will be restricted for 24 hours after changing your phone number.
